My Favorite Spot in Nichome: Takorin

Takorin is a takoyaki shop located near the Nakadori intersection in Nichome.

In Nichome’s gay bars, alcohol is the main focus, and in most cases, the only snacks available are small treats. Since we usually stay for long hours, we often get hungry along the way. Takorin delivers freshly made takoyaki to various gay bars. In addition to takoyaki, they also offer skewered meat dishes.

Sometimes, we eat in front of the shop. There are two folding chairs set up outside, where we can sit and enjoy our food. The scene of eating takoyaki while sitting on a folding chair in the early morning of a cold winter day has a certain charm.

From the outside, it looks just like a regular takoyaki stand, but inside, there is a long table with chairs where you can enjoy food and drinks. Since there is no staff serving customers at the table, you can relax, chat with friends, or browse flyers while drinking. The shop provides information about various events and messages for the LGBTQ+ community.

I highly recommend stopping by for a quick drink between visits to different gay bars!
