My Favorite Ni-chome (The Sanzu River)

Ni-chome is a very small area, with Nakadori at its center.

We call Shinjuku Street and National Route 305 the "Sanzu River," and the Ni-chome way is to stand tall and proud within its boundaries.

As a proud okoge myself, I find that once I cross the Sanzu River, my shoulders hunch a little.

Finding a property in Ni-chome is incredibly difficult due to the limited availability. I personally struggled when searching for a clinic space. But with my firm desire to stay within the "Sanzu River" boundary, I was lucky to find my current location.

Right across from Shine Mart—what a convenient and recognizable spot!

Okoge: A term referring to those who "stick to" or admire okama (a slang term for effeminate gay men or drag queens), much like the crispy rice that clings to the bottom of a pot.
