The place my kids love the most is Kidzania. They prefer it over any theme park or aquarium; Kidzania is their favorite.
At Kidzania, kids can experience a variety of jobs. My daughter loves taking care of babies (midwife), and my son enjoys being a firefighter.
But there’s more to Kidzania than just these jobs. If they run out of jobs they want to try, they can visit the job placement center run by Recruit. There, they get their suitability judged, and they may even be introduced to part-time jobs. The part-time jobs offered by Recruit include things like traffic control, where they stand by the road and count cars. And in return, they earn a tiny salary. It’s a chance to experience the realities of society.
Recently, my kids have been interested in a job in asset management. Among the jobs available at Kidzania, they pick one and try to recommend stocks to others. They have to evaluate things like foot traffic, popularity, cleanliness, and potential. Kidzania is a tough world.
After earning Kidzos (the currency used in Kidzania), they head to the Kidzania department store to shop. They buy things like cute rabbit-patterned towels or dinosaur-shaped erasers, purchasing whatever they want. If they haven’t earned enough, they can’t buy what they want. Kidzania is a strict world.
I want to give my kids as many rich experiences as possible. I think that by letting them experience different things in various places, including Kidzania, I will have fulfilled part of my role as a mother.
By the way, BSL is better at this than I am! Yes, I admit I’m a proud parent!
